On August 22, Temple University in collaboration with the Philadelphia Housing Authority hosted the Swing into School Circus event at the former Norris Homes Community Center space, giving North Philadelphia children a chance to experience the joy and fun of the circus, with games, activities, prizes, BBQ, and school supply giveaways. The Swing into School Circus event was made possible by the generous contribution and support of the Ellis A. Gimbel Trust. Temple’s Lenfest North Philadelphia Workforce Development Initiative (LNPWI) is leasing the former Norris Homes Community Center space for a workforce development center.
