Become a Fair Judge

George Washington Carver Fair judges are recruited across scientific, medical, higher education, and corporate institutions—all in the Philadelphia area. Judges also volunteer from the Philadelphia School District as well as neighboring county public school systems. As a judge, you’ll help motivate young scientists and to build their confidence.

This past year the fair was held in a hybrid format—both virtual and in-person judging options were available. 

The 2022 in-person judging day was held at Temple University’s Main Campus and included a brief introduction to the fair, the opportunity to network with colleagues, individual student interviews, and breakfast for the morning session or lunch for the afternoon session.
